I have been a loyal member of EFCU since before I was born. My Father worked for Emery for 30 years. I want to express my gratitude to you for having such an outstanding employee as Paula Ozolins. I am sure that I am telling you something that you are completely aware of but I can’t speak highly enough about her, her tireless effort and commitment to me as a valued member! With the adverse effects of this pandemic, and the uncertainty we as a nation are all facing, Paula went out of her way to help me with refinancing an auto loan and eliminating my need for a second loan. This lifted my heart to know that the job my Father treasured, still has employees that truly care about their fellow man.
I am a long-time customer there at Emery Federal Credit Union. Many years ago, I attended a seminar at your branch on Kemper Road. It was all about rebuilding credit. I had been working with one of your associates, Paula Ozolins, over the phone for a while and had the pleasure to meet her in person during this seminar. During that time, and over the many subsequent years, Paula has guided me and encouraged me in the ways to make my credit better. With her help, and the help of Emery FCU, I have been fortunate enough to make great changes in my financial stability. I have recently established a mortgage for a new home, and today closed on a loan for a new vehicle to start my new job. None of this would have been possible without her help. I wanted to reach out to you and let you know what an exceptional person she is, and a fantastic and irreplaceable asset to your company. She is absolutely, without a doubt, the gold standard by which all customer service representatives, and human beings in general, should be measured. Thank you so much for all that Emery have done for me any my family, and thank Paula personally for all of her wonderful work.
I want to thank you for the “excellent service” provided to me in getting my recent car purchase moved from Bank of America (BOA) to Emery. As you know, I purchased a 2018 Lexus. I had not planned to purchase a car. The plan was to pay off my current car loan with Emery and search for a new car in December which I would have had financed through Emery as well. Anyway, it was a holiday weekend and I knew Emery was closed, so I completed the loan application with Lexus being told the lien holder would be BOA. A few days later, you contacted me and the rest is history. I’m so happy to say my car loan is now with Emery and an added bonus is the balance transfer of (2) large balance accounts to my MasterCard with lower interest. I simply love doing business with “my” credit union, Emery Federal Credit Union!! Working with you Paula has truly been awesome!! Although we mostly communicated via emails, your kindness, professionalism, and promptness was very much displayed. I’m very appreciative. Lastly, I believe my checking account has been with Emery Federal Credit Union for close to or over 20 years. I don’t carry a high balance in my checking or saving, but what little I have I always try to keep my checking account balanced and pay my bills on time. Most of all it gives me peace of mind knowing I have a credit union who appreciates my business and that I can call on you when in need of service.
About 8 years ago I was introduced to Emery FCU by my father in law. I had just started a new sales job and desperately needed a new car. I had spent about 2 years rebuilding my credit and financial history after some poor financial decisions in college. And every bank I talked to about a car loan simply looked at me as my credit score, could care less about me, my new job, and my need for the car. Then I was introduced to Sharon at Emery. Sharon sat down with me, took the time to listen to why I needed a car loan, looked into my current and future earning potential at my new job, and then took a chance on me that I was the right fit for a new credit union member. There was not a bank that looked past my credit score, Sharon looked at me. I know credit unions were different and have been a member every since, and my family is as well.

I wanted to personally thank you for what the credit union is doing for the members. I think it’s way above and beyond to offer to extend our loans out for 90 days and offering an emergency relief loan. That means the world to me and my husband, and that’s one of the many reasons why we stay with the credit union. Both of my children are laid off, and if I’m granted the emergency relief loan, I’m going to give that to my kids until their unemployment can kick in so they can get settled. In this time of chaos and craziness, I wanted to just take a minute and tell you thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This is one of the many reasons why we have been with you guys for 42 years.
What a great team you have at Emery. Brett is the best. Efficient, timely and courteous. So much faster than working with the big banks. I would recommend this gem to anyone. Thank you again for all of your help.

When we began the process of buying a home, my wife and I had almost no idea where to start.… We shopped several different mortgage lenders from friend’s suggestions and other recommendations. What they all seemed to have in common was a willingness to give us a loan, but a lack of desire to actually get to know us or our needs. My wife and I attended a very educational session at the Emery main office regarding home loans. It was great! Our requirements were to close in 30 days. This can be a challenge any time of year, even more so during the busy summer months. Brett was determined to make this happen for us. When our appraisal was ordered, there was a backlog and Brett was told there was no way the appraiser would be able to get to our appraisal done in time to close in the 30 day window. Against the odds, Brett was able to orchestrate all the events necessary for us to close in time. I was having a new condo built….. current home had not sold yet and builder required 15% down payment to… continue work. I had already worked with my current bank/mortgage holder and another savings & loan for pre-approval. I contacted both for a ‘bridge loan’ for the down payment to be paid in full when current home sold. Neither could accommodate this need. I was online reading thru emails one day, trying to figure out what to do, when I received an Emery FCU email that said ‘We also do Mortgage Loans….’. I had no idea…. I thought credit unions only handled savings accounts, small personal loans, used car loans, etc. I completed an online request for the bridge loan. He has gone above and beyond to help us through several hurdles to get everything that we needed in order to get our house refinanced. We feel that had we worked with any other lender they would have just ‘kicked us to the curb’. Bob came with steps to rectify the road blocks that we hit during the entire home refinance process. I wanted to take a moment to say “Thank You” for considering our business loan application last year and giving… me the ability to launch! I was able to close out all of the financial information from 2016 and reconcile our February month-end in the last few days. My business plan called for us to operate in the “red” from August 2016-EOM March 2017 before emerging from profitability and was hoping to begin “paying myself” by the 2nd quarter. We operated in the red in August, September, and October. To somewhat of a surprise we profited more than spent in November then did it again in December. We enjoyed that so much that we did it again in January (I also started paying myself in January). The in February, I loaded a fair amount of known expenses into our books to pay… and still eeked out a profit. February was our best month- so March should be profitable too! Counting me we are a staff of 5, including one with over 25 years experience in the industry. We are also looking to hire 2 Miami University interns for the summer. When we decided we wanted to buy a home we knew exactly where we wanted to go to get pre-approved.… We have built a trusted relationship with Emery Federal Credit Union over the years. You get a personalized experience with them anytime you go in to a branch. Our decision to get our home loan with Emery was a no brainer.
